Louis Hillary Park is a veteran journalist with more than 30 years experience. For the last six years, he has been serving as Web Content Director for Palm Beach Atlantic University where he oversees development of web applications and social media platforms with an eye toward keeping student privacy at the forefront of all his decisions.
During his decades in journalism, Park worked as a general assignment reporter, columnist, features writer and newsroom manager for The New York Times Corp., E.W. Scripps, and Cox Communications Newspaper Division. As a manager, Park was an award-winning turnaround specialist for newsroom content and output.
As Web Content Director for Palm Beach Atlantic University, Park has grown the University’s social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) from a minimal presence to a powerful marketing force for the institution, reaching more than three million viewers per year.
In his presentations, Park explains the rules of basic communication and helps audiences understand the nuances of various communication platforms as they relate to privacy and successful marketing in the 21st century.
Park is the author of Wolf’s Run, a novel published in 2010 by Desire Street Books. He is in the process of editing his second novel, Hard News, scheduled for release in fall 2016. He and his wife Joyce have lived in Palm Beach County, Florida for more than 25 years.
